Mary Victoria Mollie Kable (1911 – 1982)
Mollie, as she was known, was born in Rockdale on 13/06/1911.
She married to John Norman Stevenson in Kogarah (Presb. Church) on 16/12/1939.
Norman, Norm as he was known by, was born in April 1903 in Bingara.
They had no children.
Norm died in Nambucca Heads on 13/06/1979.
Mollie died in Royal Prince Alfred Hosp. Camperdown on 26/11/1982.
Both are buried at Nambucca Heads Cemetery.
Kay’s memories of Norm:
Uncle Norman was a great guy to me- he used to take me around the farm with him and told me how things worked, like the coke-fueled generator they used for power in Armidale. He used to give me all sorts of interesting things and take me gem-hunting, where we found sapphires etc. He also gave me a guitar which I taught myself to play, and his set of bagpipes to play in a band!
