Sylvia Jane Jarrett (1890 – 1967)

Sylvia was born in Blayney on 19/04/1890.

​She married on 18/04/1910 to Richard Peerless Ernest Jenkins in Wollongong.
Richard was born in 1889 in Berkeley NSW.

They had 3 children:

• Francis Allen Jenkins (1911 – 1997)
• Hazel Irene Jenkins (1914 –    ?    )
• Ernest Roy Jenkins (1917 – 1965)

​Sylvia died in Port Kembla on 17/11/1967.
Richard died in Port Kembla on 18/12/1970.
Both are buried in Unanderra Cemetery, Wollongong City.

Francis Allen Jenkins (1911 – 1997)

Francis was born in Port Kembla on 14/02/1911 and baptised in St Michael, Wollongong on 04/06/1911.

He married on 06/02/1943 in St Michael in Wollongong to Ruby May Thelma Halliday.
Ruby was born on 07/02/1914 in Glebe and baptised on 27/03/1914 in St Paul in Sydney.

They had 2 children:

• Marilyn Lorraine Jenkins (1943 – 1953)
• Lionel Allen Jenkins (1955 – 2005)

Francis died on 22/10/1997 in Port Kembla.
Ruby died on 23/01/2001 in Port Kembla.
Both are buried at Wollongong Cemetery.

Hazel Irene Jenkins (1914 –     ?   )

Hazel was born on 30/11/1914 in Wollongong and baptised on 24/01/1915 in St Michael, Wollongong.

She married in Wollongong in 1936 to Frances William Jackson.

On the electoral rolls 1943 and 1949 for Kembla she was living alone at the address. 1949 was also the last record for Hazel.

Ernest Roy Jenkins (1917 – 1965)

Ernest was born in Wollongong in 1917.

He married to Eileen Lucy Murphy in Wollongong in 1947. Eileen was born in 1926.

In 1950 they had a stillborn child.

Ernest died in Wollongong on 19/02/1965.
Eileen died in Wollongong on 26/09/2016.

William Clifford Colonel Jarrett (1892 – 1965)

William was born on 23/02/1892 in Blayney.

He married to Olive Edna Irene Alger in St Stephens Church, Port Kembla on 04/09/1912.
Olive was born in Wollongong on 20/02/1896.

They had the following children:

• Mervyn Clifford William Jarrett (1914 – 1977)
• Collin F Jarrett (1916 – 1916)
• Ivan Charles Jarrett (1920 – 1984)
• Frank Alger Jarrett (1922 – 1993)

William died on 25/02/1965 in Port Kembla.
Olive died in Warrawong on 26/03/1969.
Both are buried at Wollongong Cemetery.

Mervyn Clifford William Jarrett (1914 – 1977)

Mervyn was born in Port Kembla in 1914.

He married in 1943 in Wollongong to Dorothy Jean Meizer. Dorothy was born in 1918 in Canowindra.

​Mervyn died on 22/05/1977 in Port Kembla.
Dorothy died in Port Kembla on 03/05/2002.

Ivan Charles Jarrett (1920 – 1984)

Ivan was born in 1920 in Port Kembla.

He married in Wollongong in 1947 to Ida May LeCount. Ida was born in 1927.

Ivan died in Warrawong on 14/02/1984.
Ida died in Warrawong on 24/09/1987.

Frank Alger Jarrett (1922 – 1993)

Frank was born in 1922.

He married in Kiama in 1944 to Florence Mary Mathews. Florence was born in 1925 in Kiama.

Florence died in Bellambi on 14/10/1991.
Frank died in Bellambi on 28/07/1993.

Noel Raymond Jarrett (1935 – 1935)

Noel was born in 1935 in Port Kembla.
He died on 22/07/1935 in Royal Alexandria Hospital for children, Camperdown, New South Wales.
Noel is buried on 24/07/1935 in Wollongong.

Della Lovina Jarrett (1895 – 1981)

Della was born on 26/03/1895 in Blayney.

​On 11/03/1919 she married in Liverpool NSW to Charles Ernest Scott.
He was born in Gerringong NSW on 11/03/1892.

The Cumberland Argus and Fruitgrowers Advocate of  Saturday 15 March 1919 wrote about the marriage:

A LIVERPOOL BRIDE.

A very pretty military wedding took place at St. Luke’s Church of England, Liverpool, on Tuesday afternoon, when Sergeant Major Ernest Charles Scott, an original Anzac, formerly of Wollongong, was married to Della Lavina Jarrett, daughter of Mrs. C. Ryan, of George-st., Liverpool.  The Rev. H. J. Noble officiated.  

The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. C. Jarrett.  She looked charming in a gown of white crepe-de-chine and georgette, trimmed with pearls, the wreath and veil arranged in mob fashion, and carried a handsome bouquet of white asters and asparagus ferns, tied with streamers of green and white (the bridegroom’s colors).  The bridesmaid, Miss Mabel Masters (cousin of the bride) wore a pretty frock of pale pink silk voile and white hat and a bouquet of pink and white asters.  Both bride, and bridesmaid wore gold brooches set with diamonds, the gift of the bridegroom.  Mr. Oliver Chalkly, of Liverpool, was best man.  

The happy couple left for Parkes, the bride travelling in a smart navy cloth costume, hat to match of putty and navy trimmings.  Mr. and Mrs. Scott’s future home will be Port Kembla.  Many valuable and useful presents were received.

​Charles died on 30/10/1960 in Wagga Wagga and is buried in Unanderra, Wollongong.

Della died on 16/09/1981, late of Dee Why, formerly of Port Kembla, and is buried in Unanderra, Wollongong.
