Caroline Emeline “Carrie” Teale (1847 – 1902)

Caroline Emeline (Carrie) Teale was the daughter of John Henry Teale Jnr and Charlotte Mary McDonald Sommers and was born at “South Creek”, Windsor on 28/10/1847. She was baptised on 15/11/1847 in St. Matthews C/E Windsor.

She was a 3rd generation Australian, and the great-granddaughter of Henry and Susannah Kable.

​2018-04-02She married John Thomas Howard the grandson of a Second Fleeter Robert Howard (who arrived on the Neptune).

​They married at the  Congregational Church at Windsor on the 26th February 1872.  The Church still stands and is converted into the “Church Bar”, located in Kable Street Windsor.

After several years they moved to Bundarra, where John Thomas Howard was overseer on the “Stoney Batter” Station.

Carrie died on 03/10/1902 in Tamworth.
John died in West Tamworth on 01/11/1922.
Both are buried in Tamworth cemetery.

Blanch Howard (1875 – 1876)

Blanch was born on 20/05/1875 in Inverell and died on 14/03/1876 in Armidale.

Henrietta Howard (1876 – 1967)

Henrietta was born 25/05/1876 in Bega NSW.

​

She married on 09/12/1896 to William John Widgery, a tent and sail maker.

William was born in 1870 in Bective near Tamworth.

The marriage took place in the Baptist Church in Tamworth.​

​They had one son:

  • Arthur Widgery (born and died in 1897 in Tamworth).

​They divorced in 1922 on the grounds of desertion.

William John died in a mental Hospital in Brisbane on 23/09/1953.

Henrietta died on 12/11/1967 in Stockton Psychiatric Hospital and is burried in Wamberal.

Leslie Howard (1878 – 1946)

Leslie was born 13/03/1878 in Armidale.

​He married in 1936 to Caryl Maud Coates (born in 1890 in Albury).

​Caryl died on 30/06/1959 in Enfield and is buried at Rookwood.

Leslie died on 18/10/1946 in Belmont.

Jessie Blanch Howard (1895 – 1896)

Jessie was born in Tamworth on 12/03/1895 and died in Tamworth on 19/03/1896.
