After the break down of the marriage or the death of Alfred, Florence moved about 1925 with her daughter to Walcha NSW. Florence married in 1930 (according family trees) to Thomas Edward Knowles. On the electoral roll of 1930 for Walcha, he was the hotelkeeper of the “Commercial Hotel”.
Thomas died in 1931 in Walcha.
In the mid 1940’s Florence moved to Sydney were she was a licensee at the Thurless Castle Hotel in Phillip and, before her death, as a hotel proprietress in Phillip/Surry Hills.
Florence died in Sydney on 30/09/1955 and is buried at Rookwood.
