Raymond was born in Warialda on 04/08/1909.

​He married to Joyce Bowden in the Congregational Church, Killara on 21/01/1936.
Joyce was born in Murwillumbah on 12/03/1908.

​They had the following children:

• Allen Richard Glennie Holmes (1937 –       )

• John Harry Glennie Holmes (1939 –       )

• Malcolm Raymond Glennie Holmes (1940 –       )

• Phillippa Jean Glennie Holmes (1946 –       )

​Raymond died in Wagga Wagga on 30/03/1971.

Joyce died, age 104, on 22/11/2012 in Mary Potter Nursing Home Wagga Wagga.
