Edward James Halliday (1893 – 1965)

Edward was born in Cooma on 09/11/1893.

​He married to Marion Elizabeth Marks on 06/10/1920 in Murwillumbah NSW. Marion was born in Murwillumbah on 03/07/1896.

They seperated and Edward married in 1944 in North Sydney to Mary Jean Proudfoot. Mary was born in 1910 in Murwillumbah.

Edward had 5 children, 2 daughters and 3 sons.

Edward died in Murwillumbah on 15/08/1965.
Mary died on 08/09/1980 in Vaucluse.
Marion died on 06/12/1960 in Newtown.

Neville Asbury Halliday (1903 – 1990)

Neville was born in Forbed on 24/04/1903.

​He married to Sheila Alma McDonald in Muswellbrook on 11/03/1931.
Sheila was born in Sydney on 02/10/1909.

​They had 3 children, i deceased:

  • Neville Gorden McDonald Halliway,  died 05/12/1992 in Wingen.

​Neville died in Terrigal on 29/01/1990.

Sheila died on 12/06/2007 in Erina.

SISTERS MARRIED. A Double Wedding. AT ST. MARK’S. The wedding of two sisters, Miss Winsome Halliday and Miss Isabel Halliday, which took place at St. Mark’s Church, Darling Point, last night was the first double wedding to be celebrated by Canon Howard Lea, and there was a big crowd outside the church interested in the arrival and departure of the bridal party. The two brides arrived at the church in the one car, and before they could alight assistance had to be obtained to disentangle their cut tulle veils. The two bridesmaids entered the church first, and were followed by the sisters, who walked up the aisle side by side, and were followed by two little flower girls.
