A 13-year-old school boy on his way to school, found the body of an aged retired railway employee hanging over a fence along the Second Lane, Kelso. The dead man was Mr. George Burton (76), a widower. His body was found about 500 yards away from his residence. Death was due to a heart seizure, with which he was struck, as he was climbing through the fence.
