Alfred Russell Morthorpe (1902 – 1990)

He married Eveleen Margaret Michell on 25/05/1923 in Glebe.
Eveleen was born in Orange on 21/12/1903.

They had two daughters:

  • Rose Catherine Morthorpe (1924 – 1949)

  • Fay Clarice Morthorpe (1926 – 2013)

The marriage ended in divorce in September 1928 (see article below in the SMH 01/12/1928) when the decree nisi was made absolute.

Eveleen died on 06/08/1976 in Dubbo.

Alfred married to Annie Kathleen Wardman in Wollongong on 10/01/1930.
Annie was born on 24/01/1895 in Hill End, NSW.

Alfred and Annie had 1 daughter:

  • June Marie Morthorpe (1931 – 2000)

Annie died in 1981 in Bondi.
Alfred died in 1990 (reg 11034/1990).

Alfred and Annie were not living together since the end of the 1930’s. In 1980 Alfred was listed on the Electoral Roll for Nowra, residing at Naval Parade, Erowal Bay.

Rose was born in 1924 in Orange.

She died in Orange on 26/08/1949.

Fay Clarice Morthorpe (1926 – 2013)

Fay was born in Port Kembla on 30/03/1926.

She married to Lionel Clifton Robinson in Mosman on 16/08/1946. Lionel was born in Chatswood on 05/07/1923.

Fay died on 21/02/2013 in Lismore and Lionel on 05/11/2015 in Ballina RSL Home.

June Marie Morthorpe (1931 – 2000)

June was born on 18/05/1931 in Bexley, Sydney.
She married in March 1948 in Glebe to Piet Hendrick de Groot.

They had 2 sons.

June died on 03/07/2000 in Ultimo, Sydney
