Jessie Pearl Soden (1881 – 1964)

Jessie was born in 1881 in Sofala, Bathurst region.

It is believed that Jessie, before she went to Victoria, gave birth to a daughter:

  • Eileen M Soden (1905 –    ?      )

In 1907 in Victoria Jessie married to Ernest Frank Miles. He was born in Auckland NZ on 24/08/1884.

They had the following children:

  • James Archibald Miles (1908 – 1978)

  • Phyllis Campbell Miles (1911 – 1996)

  • Frank Ernest Miles (1915 – 2004)

​Ernest died in Clovelly on 06/07/1953.

Jessie died in Clovelly on 02/08/1964.

James Archibald Miles (1908 – 1978)

James was born on 08/02/1908 in Fitzroy VIC.

He married to Dorothy Irene Glenn in 1932 in Redfern. She was born in Redfern in 1902.

They had 1 daughter:

  • Dawn May Miles (1932 –         )

Dorothy died in Killarney on 24/01/1975.
James died in Killarney on 08/10/1978.

Phyllis Campbell Miles (1911 – 1996)

Phyllis was born in Sydney on 30/11/1911.

She married to James Alfred Claude Verran in 1939 in Randwick. James was born in New Zealand in 1899, registered as Albert Claude Verran.

They had 2 sons:

  • James Ernest Verran (1939 – 1995)
  • Peter John Verran (1945 –         )

James died in Clovelly on 04/07/1985.
Phyllis died on 07/02/1996 in Clovelly.

James Ernest Verran (1939 – 1995)

James was born on 24/08/1939.
He married in 1960 to Gwendolyn Margaret Howarth. The marriage ended in about 1974.

After 1980 James married to Thelma May (no known family name). Thelma was born on 06/01/1934.
James died in Noosa QLD on 26/07/1995.
Thelma died in Noosa Waters QLD on 06/04/2006.
Both are buried at Tewantin Cemetery, Noosa Shire.

Frank Ernest Miles (1915 – 2004)

Frank was born in 1915 in Randwick.

He married to Alicia Joan Heald in Randwick in 1941.

​Frank died in Bomaderry NSW on 04/06/2004.
