Reuben Randolph Soden (1861 – 1936)

Reuben was born in 1861 in Bathurst.

​In 1890 he married to Mary Jane Bromfield in Granville in 1890.
Mary was born in Burley, Hampshire, England on 17/09/1867 and baptised on 12/04/1968. It is unknown when she arrived in Australia.

​Mary filed a legal case against Reuben for divorce (desertion grounds) in 1896.

Reuben moved to Western Australia in the 1890’s where he married to Phoebe Eliza Gilbert Peachy in Perth in 1898.

Phoebe was born in Berrima in 1867. She was married in Balmain on 09/07/1888 to Harry Knight Englefield (1839 – 1896).

Reuben was a butcher in his early years in Western Australia. In the later part of his life there he was a farm labourer.

​Reuben died in Perth in 1936.
Phoebe died in Kogarah NSW (late of Merridon WA) on 15/07/1945.
