George, better known as Bill, was born in Orange on 02/11/1907.

​He married to Lila Isabel Anderson on 28/03/1936 in Kogarah. Lila was born in Wollongong on 09/04/1910.

They had the following children:

• Edward William Hartas (1941 – 2009)

• Rodney Hartas

​Bill died in Mudgee on 09/09/1974.

Lila died in Mudgee, on 17/04/1988.

Edward William Hartas (1941 – 2009)

Edward was born on 12/01/1941 in Hurstville.

He died in Mudgee on 03/01/2009.
Edward never married.

Rodney married in 1963 in Hurstville to Margaret Irene Davidson.
