Mary was born in Waratah in 1956.

​She married in 1982 in Newcastle to Alan Gregory Strong, born in 1955 in QLD.

​They had 1 daughter.

​Greg died in Oct 2008 in Dubbo. He never returned after a fishing trip. His body was found on 05/11/2008 at Lake Burrendong after a 15 day search.
