He married Winifred Myrtle Stewart on 23/11/1921 (no records). John mentioned Winifred as his next of kin on his WW2 Military Service Records. He also lowered his age with 4 years by putting his birthday down as 07/09/1902 in stead of 07/09/1898.

He and Winifred Myrtle are showing up on several electoral rolls. The last one is in 1943 for Drummoyne together with their son? Jack, a butcher.
