Max was born in 1884 in Inverness, Scotland (according his army records).
He married in 1906 in Narrandera to Maud C Archibald.
In about 1910 Max went to Kalgoorlie WA, working in the mines. This was likely without the knowledge of Maud. She filed a divorce on the ground of desertion. This was granted in April 1916.

FERGUSON v FERGUSON.Mr. R. W. Fraser appeared for the petitioner, Cecilia Maud Ferguson (formerly Archibald), who sought a divorce from her husband, Max Beresford Ferguson, on the ground of desertion. The parties were married at Coolamon in July, 1906, according to the rites of the Presbyterian Church. His Honor granted a decree nisi, returnable in six months.
In 1923, after returning from the mines in WA, Max married in Ashfield to Annie Marie Chapman.
Annie was born in Bellevue Tasmania on 30/05/1885 and baptised on 15/04/1896 in Hobart, Tasmania.

Max was a greengrocer before he died on 06/05/1956 in Lidcombe Hospital.
Annie died on 12/08/1974 in Blacktown.

Lyle was born in 1928 in Blacktown.
He married to Janet Briggs in 1960 in Parramatta. Janet was born in Sydney on 09/09/1935.
They had 3 daughters.
Lyle died on 28/08/1992 in Blacktown.
Janet died in Blacktown on 08/05/2013.
